Product Description:

The universal and highly efficient Hysteresis dynamometer (AHD series) is ideal for low and medium power testing. In comparison to other dynamometers, hysteresis brakes do not need to rely on the speed of the output shaft to generate torque; their operations are independent of speed. As a result, hysteresis brakes can be tested from no load up to locked rotor.

With a hysteresis dynamometer, the braking force is generated through magnetic induction. The brake stator consists of two opposing magnetic poles; the rotor's outer surface rotates past these two poles, and the magnetic flux induces eddy currents within the rotor. These eddy currents, in turn, create a magnetic field that opposes the fields generated by the brake stator, resulting in a braking force.

Low torque values, small size, and minimal maintenance requirements make hysteresis brake technology an excellent option for use in laboratory and automation testing systems that require reliable torque measurement. In addition, the absence of mechanical friction eliminates the need for lubrication and reduces the overall wear and tear that other brakes experience.

Hysteresis Dynamometer: Universal Testing Equipment for Low and Medium Power Testing

The Hysteresis Dynamometer, also known as the AHD Series, is an ideal and universal testing equipment for low and medium power testing. Unlike other braking systems, hysteresis brakes do not rely on speed to generate torque. Therefore, it is capable of being tested from zero load to locked rotor.

Depending on the model, brake cooling is provided by convection cooling, which does not require a wind source, or through air cooling using compressed air (AHD Series) or blower (BHD Series). It has continuous and short-term intermittent power to radiate more heat range.

The accuracy of the hysteresis dynamometer ranges from ±0.25% to ±0.5% of the full scale, depending on the size and system composition of the dynamometer. It also provides special designs for high-speed motor testing.

Widely used in the detection of automobile motors, household appliance motors, electric tool motors, compressor motors, and aviation motors, this testing equipment is used in the performance testing of various AC and DC motors, including torque, speed, power, and more.
